I always enjoy visiting Vino Volo when traveling. Today was a rainy day at the International terminal in LAX and I was able to spend a nice amount of time reading while I waited. Victor and Donnie were awesome and gave great recs on food & wine. I miss the truffle Mac & Cheese from years ago but their cheese board with a Cab still does the trick.

This particular location of the airport chain has a somewhat limited setup, featuring a small bar and a few high tables. The wine selection is generally good, albeit on the pricier side. The food is simple but tends to be fresh with a couple of vegetarian options. One downside, however, is their policy of not serving filtered tap water, which might be a consideration if you prefer not to buy bottled water. At a place serving liquors and food, filtered tap water seems a minimum.

Like a home made sandwich, I bet my Italian friend will confuse if their Italian sandwich came out of his own mom's kitchen. Loved it! And you should try. I'm not a fan of airport food in general, but this place showed me a light in the tunnel.

I needed to eat while waiting for a flight and most of the places in my terminal were closed. Vino Volo was open and serving so I went there. Not much of a wine drinker so was pleased to see a couple of beers on the menu. I really enjoyed the Pilsner and my grilled ham and gruyere sandwich was pretty good for the absolutely ridiculous price I was charged. Here’s the breakdown: Being open +1 star; really good beer +1 star; tasty sandwich +1 star; super friendly staff +1 star.

Our must stop Everytime we travel internationally. Great wine selection, super cute crew and the food is quite tasty!! A bit pricey but that's what you expect at one of the busiest airports in the world.

Was actually impressed. Cool vibe, discrete music, fast service and we'll made dishes. Exceptional, no, but for an airport a great upgrade compared to what else is usually available. Had the burratta and the vegetarian sandwich and both were good. The star was the burratta which was a large portion, fresh vegetables, soft bread and well seasoned. The vegetarian sandwich was tasty. On the wine, order by the glass, the flights are very small pours.
